The European Delivery Centre Story

Darren Littlechild explores how Hitachi Solutions have developed our European Delivery Centres across Europe.

For many years, there has been a steady pattern of investment from Hitachi Solutions in the Microsoft channel. The ongoing investment in people, processes and technology enables us to focus fully on leveraging the Microsoft stack to rapidly solve our client’s critical business and technology challenges.

Hitachi Solutions has invested across Europe by extending our Pan-European footprint with acquisitions and organic growth in several European countries.  During this period of significant growth, we wanted to ensure the availability of consulting resources in support of future projects did not become a major roadblock. Our global capability and resource pool are valuable in certain instances; however, a different approach was required to operate the nuances of local markets.

Our senior leadership team forecasted minimal improvement in the critical shortage of Microsoft Dynamics 365 consulting skills across all European markets in the foreseeable future and acted. This attention provided a clear strategy to target the top talent in the marketplace and create sophisticated training programmes focussed on the ever-evolving Microsoft technologies ensuring that we would be well-positioned to continue to offer our clients the best advice and solutions.

We are delighted to announce our expansion has continued into Europe with new offices opening in Portugal and Bulgaria, providing high quality multilingual consultants to our main markets in UK, Germany and France. We now have 100 consultants from these Delivery Centres who are working on our client projects across Europe.

We invested in enhancing our Learning and Development programmes guaranteeing every consultant hired adheres to the Hitachi Solutions way of working and achieves the necessary level of expertise across our specialist delivery functions. This investment assures our clients that wherever our consultants are based they will receive a consistently high level of service.

Hitachi Solutions’ continuing increase in capacity across Europe coupled with ongoing initiatives to evolve the depth and breadth of capability of the latest cutting-edge technology ensures that we are flexible and agile enough to meet our customer demands. This has really been evident with the recent challenges caused by COVID-19 with clients requiring a rapid deployment of solutions. We were able to respond, providing solutions from a European resource pool with a wide set of capabilities in the Power Platform to successfully meet these critical challenges for our clients.
